Deep Posts, morning edition: Roster upheaval is underway

? If Vincent Jackson signs his tender, and Malcom Floyd is done as a Charger (two things Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune expects to happen), the Chargers wide receiver depth chart will look like this: Jackson, Patrick Crayton, Vincent Brown, Seyi Ajirotutu. They'll need help.

? As for whether or not Vincent Jackson can stay a Charger long-term, that's a different question entirely.

? The 700 Level laments the Eagles' loss of longtime kicker David Akers.

? Philly.com has a nice, sunshine-filled piece about Michael Vick, including a story about how he met a random dude at a Best Buy and ended up selling him his Playstation 3 for $200. He ended up hooking the guy up with a couple of tickets to an Eagles game, too.

? John Clayton reports that the Bengals have their sights set a little lower than Kyle Orton for a free-agent quarterback and likely starter: They're looking at Bruce Gradkowski and Jim Sorgi.

? Speaking of backups to Peyton Manning, Nate Davis will be the next one.

? The Packers are still planning to get their White House visit in. Pretend there's some kind of a debt ceiling joke here. We're all going to die poor.

? Clark Judge at CBS Sports has a list of questions to be answered as we barrel ahead into training camps. There are two big concerns. First, the overall quality of play in the league, given that teams haven't had much time to absorb new playbooks, and the new limits on practice time. Secondly, injuries, due to less time to get bodies into shape. It's going to pay to have a good training staff.

? Offensive lineman Stacy Andrews is no longer a Seahawk.

? Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert showed up to work bright and early Tuesday.

? In the wake of the release of seemingly half the Ravens roster Monday, there are questions about where the Ravens will go in the red zone. I know Todd Heap and Derrick Mason had both already seen their best days, but it's also really hard to imagine that the Ravens offense loses two veterans like that and just doesn't miss a beat.
