Madison Bumgarner: Remarkable Game 4 Has Giants on Brink of Title

Madison Bumgarner would have reason to be a little intimidated Sunday night. The 21-year-old was making his third postseason start after just 18 in his rookie season. The Giants had lost Game 3 and couldn't afford to let the Rangers back into the World Series. But how did Bumgarner do?

In continuing the year of the pitcher, he threw eight scoreless innings in Game 4, becoming the youngest pitcher to ever throw six or more scoreless innings in the World Series, and the fourth-youngest pitcher to record a World Series win. In the process, the Giants have moved one win away from the 2010 championship.

"He had great poise, composure, sense of belonging," said Giants manager Bruce Bochy.
