Filed under: MLS, Chivas USA, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Kansas City Wizards, New England Revolution, New York Red Bulls, Real Salt Lake, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders FCAs the 2010 MLS regular season winds down, the attention of most fans has turned to the playoffs. Does Real Salt Lake have what it takes to repeat? Can the Galaxy get revenge for their shootout loss in last year's final? Is FC Dallas' hot streak postseason-proof?

But not so fast. There are still three weeks of regular season games remaining and there are certainly some mouthwatering matchups among them. With that in mind, FanHouse presents The Best of the Rest: the five most intriguing games remaining on the regular season schedule.

1) Real Salt Lake at New York Red Bulls -- Saturday, Oct. 9th

This Saturday will see the clubs with the league's second- and third-best records square off in a match that could have huge implications in the chase for the Supporters' Shield. New York currently sits atop the Eastern Conference at 14-8-5 and will look to stay one step ahead of the Columbus Crew with a win this weekend. Salt Lake, meanwhile, is 14-4-9 and five points behind Los Angeles in the West, with a game-in-hand. With the firepower that both these teams have, it's well within the realm of possibility that this game could be a preview of November's MLS Cup Final.
