Jordin Sparks has come a long way since becoming the youngest contestant ever to win American Idol.
Her debut self-released album after the popular TV show went platinum, selling over 2 million copies.
Her single from the album, "No Air," is the highest-selling single by an American Idol contestant, selling over 4 million digital copies worldwide.
Her second album debuted at No. 7 in the U.S. and also sold over 2 million copies.
To date, Sparks has sold over 9 million singles, making her one of the most successful American Idol contestants ever.
Now, after singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the 2008 Super Bowl, Sparks sang the national anthem at the All-Star Game on Tuesday.
Sparks, already a worldwide phenomenon as an R&B singer, is now becoming immersed into sports culture, her voice giving fans pause during the most cherished anthem in America.
And it makes sense, considering her father is former NFL player Phillippi Sparks, who played cornerback for the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys during his nine-year career.
Let us all hope that Sparks continues to grace stadiums with her singing prowess, and that she continues to make an impact for fans, including those who saw her father play in the '90s.
One thing's for sure: in the Super Bowl and All-Star game she's certainly been a catch.
