Brett Favre Will Not Play Vikings' Finale, Career Appears Over

Brett Favre's NFL career is apparently over.

The Minnesota Vikings announced Sunday morning that Favre is inactive for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field. Since Favre has stated repeatedly that he will retire after the season (and this time, he says he means it), that means it's not just the end of Favre's season: It's the end of Favre's career.

Favre suffered a concussion two weeks ago against the Chicago Bears and still has not been medically cleared to return to play, so Joe Webb will again start in Favre's place.
